I've experimented a little with the ODFB preview client for mac for syncing my personal files to ODFB, and although the app seems like a POS and is constantly hanging it is actually syncing. Currently we all use a Sonicwall SSL VPN to connect to the office network and then mount the share point over the network when we are remote - and that part hasn't changed for any combinations of mac/pc clients or windows/mac server we've had in the past (both our windows server and now our mac server have always used SMB). Here's the question everyone is asking me - is it possible to have our local file server sync to the Sharepoint/ODFB storage space that's visible to all users so that employees can still access files on the local network while in the office, but then use ODFB (and Microsoft Document Connection) to access and edit the same files while out of the office. We also recently upgraded our Exchange Online plan (at $4/user/mo) which provided e-mail only to the Non-profit Office 365 Business Premium license at half the cost.Īlong with all the desktop and online versions of office we get, we also all received 1TB of one drive space and what appears to be a corporate Sharepoint site.
